Forging a Global Film Horizon: Indonesian Talent Takes Center Stage

Pioneering Partnership for International Cinema

Asia Media Alliance Group and Nation Pictures have officially joined forces in a venture aimed at developing and producing genre films from Indonesia and across Southeast Asia. This collaboration seeks to captivate global viewers with distinctive stories and high-quality productions.

Highlighting an Ambitious Production Roster

The joint venture's initial lineup is impressive, featuring "Pendekar: Warrior," an action film starring Iko Uwais, and an Indonesian adaptation of the acclaimed Korean hit "The Man From Nowhere," with Joe Taslim in the lead role. Additionally, "The Good Samaritan," directed by Pierre Morel and featuring Daisy Ridley, is slated for production, set against the vibrant backdrop of Jakarta.

Key Figures Behind the Cinematic Vision

The alliance brings together John Radel, the esteemed producer and cinematographer from Asia Media Alliance Group, and Delon Tio, the Jakarta-based producer leading Nation Pictures. Mike Leeder, a Hong Kong-based producer from Red Packet Media, also plays a crucial role in this dynamic partnership.

Building on Recent Success: "Extraction: Tygo"

The partnership recently concluded principal photography in Jakarta for "Extraction: Tygo," a spin-off from the popular Netflix action franchise. This production, which involved significant city road closures for its elaborate action sequences, demonstrates the venture's capacity for large-scale, high-impact filmmaking and serves as a strong foundation for future projects.

A Glimpse into Forthcoming Cinematic Offerings

Beyond "Pendekar: Warrior" and "The Man From Nowhere" remake, the slate includes "The Good Samaritan," produced by Renee Tab and Marina Grasic. This diverse selection underscores the venture's commitment to delivering a variety of engaging genre films to a global audience.

Celebrating Southeast Asia's Creative Potential

John Radel, renowned for his work on films like Dev Patel's "Monkey Man" and Michael Mann's "Blackhat," expressed his long-held belief in Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia, as a thriving hub for film production and a creative home for filmmakers. He emphasized that the time is ripe for the region's stories to resonate globally.

Transcendence Through Storytelling

Delon Tio, known for producing the cult horror film "Macabre," highlighted the evolving landscape of cinema, where language barriers are diminishing. He stressed the importance of creating films that possess heart, ambition, a strong identity, and the grandeur necessary to draw audiences into theaters.

A Trio of Production Maestros

Completing the core production team is Mike Leeder, whose extensive action film credits include "The Raid 2" and "Man of Tai Chi." His current involvement in the Korean action-comedy "Belladonna" further solidifies the venture's expertise in delivering high-octane entertainment.
