When Toei Animation first unveiled the trailer for the updated 'Dragon Ball Super: Beerus,' many enthusiasts immediately recognized the superior animation quality compared to the initial 2015 series. However, without direct comparisons, the full extent of these revisions remained somewhat unclear, leading some to initially believe the changes were minimal. Yet, a side-by-side analysis reveals dramatic visual transformations.

Online communities, such as Reddit and YouTube, are abuzz with comparison footage highlighting the distinctions. While some alterations are subtle, the most prominent enhancement is in Beerus's color palette and saturation. The new rendition features deeper and more vibrant colors, lending a graver atmosphere to 'Beerus.' These modifications also allow finer details to stand out more distinctly, making the earlier version appear rather flat in contrast. Beyond color, other scenes demonstrate a filling in of previously sparse details or a refinement of poorly executed drawings. Although these improvements might be less apparent during fast-paced action sequences, their significance becomes striking when viewed side-by-side. An illustrative example is the revamped depiction of Vegeta striking a wall, which now vividly illustrates the damage inflicted, making the original's faint cracks seem almost comical.

The 'Beerus' series is scheduled to debut on Fuji TV on October 11, with a special screening for U.S. fans at New York Comic-Con on October 8. This new adaptation is expected to encompass the storylines from the initial two 'Dragon Ball Super' films and the first 46 episodes of the anime. The visual uplift has garnered widespread positive feedback, with fans noting the crispness and how the new version truly embodies the creators' original vision.
