The esteemed actress Katherine LaNasa is slated to be honored with the distinguished Variety Virtuoso Award at the Bentonville Film Festival on June 20, 2026. This accolade acknowledges her profound impact and sustained contributions to both cinematic and television productions. Her recent triumph includes an Emmy and a Critics Choice Award for her role in the critically acclaimed HBO Max series, “The Pitt,” where her portrayal garnered significant praise. The 12th annual Bentonville Film Festival, scheduled from June 15 to June 21, continues its tradition of fostering creativity, strengthening community bonds, and celebrating the transformative power of storytelling through film.

Katherine LaNasa's distinguished career will be a focal point during the festival, where she is scheduled to engage in an insightful question-and-answer session alongside Variety's deputy editor, Carole Horst. The 2026 Bentonville Film Festival promises an engaging program, featuring a diverse array of narrative features, documentaries, locally produced films, short films, and episodic content, including five global premieres. The festival is set to commence on June 16 with “Family Movie,” a distinctive horror-comedy directed by Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, both of whom will participate in a post-screening discussion. The closing event on June 21 will include a special presentation of Netflix’s “Little House on the Prairie,” followed by a Q&A session with showrunner Rebecca Sonnenshine and stars Crosby Fitzgerald and Alyssa Wapanatâhk. This year’s centerpiece selection highlights the global premiere of Catherine Hardwicke’s “Street Smart,” featuring Isabelle Fuhrman, Yara Shahidi, Michael Cimino, and Marcia Gay Harden. Additionally, the festival will feature acclaimed documentaries, emerging talents, and signature “Coffee Talk” conversations with culinary personalities such as Bobby Flay, Ree Drummond, and Chef JJ Johnson.
