The highly anticipated Kingdom Hearts Collection for the Switch 2, set to launch this October, marks a notable departure from its cloud-based predecessors by offering a fully native gaming experience. This comprehensive compilation, while exciting for fans, will necessitate a substantial amount of storage on the console.

Reports from the eShop indicate that installing the entire collection will consume approximately 131GB of space. The collection is segmented into three distinct applications, each with its own significant storage footprint: Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX requires 54.1GB, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue takes up 26.8GB, and Kingdom Hearts 3 + Re Mind accounts for 45.2GB. Although the sum of these individual components totals around 126.1GB, it is advisable for players to ensure at least 130GB of free space to avoid any installation issues.

As game sizes continue to grow, managing console storage becomes an increasingly important aspect of the gaming experience. The Kingdom Hearts Collection's substantial footprint highlights the need for players to proactively manage their device's memory. This release, celebrating the series' 25th anniversary, offers a rich narrative and expansive worlds, making the storage investment worthwhile for dedicated fans.

Embracing the future of gaming often involves adapting to its demands, such as increased storage requirements. While large file sizes might present a challenge, they also signify the depth and richness developers are bringing to new titles. By staying prepared and managing resources wisely, players can fully immerse themselves in the grand adventures that await.
