This latest acquisition brings an additional 141 customers under York Water Company's purview, establishing it as the exclusive provider of both water and wastewater services to the community. Management at Pine Run Retirement Community expressed strong confidence in York Water Company's expertise. This transaction follows the company's prior acquisition of Pine Run's water system, which has already led to streamlined operations and a broader service footprint across Adams County. In related financial news, The York Water Company reported its 2025 fiscal results, showing operating revenues of $77.5 million, an increase of $2.5 million, while net income stood at $20.1 million, a slight decrease of $267,000. Earnings per share (EPS) for the year were $1.39, down by $0.03. For the fourth quarter, revenue saw a rise of $606,000, net income increased by $25,000, and EPS remained stable at $0.36. The company has invested $48.7 million in infrastructure and anticipates similar annual expenditures of $48 million in both 2026 and 2027.
