The Ultimate Shield: Leon Kennedy's Unwavering Protection

Filmmaker's Candid Confession: The Unmatched Appeal of Leon Kennedy

Zach Cregger, the creative force behind the Resident Evil film adaptation, has openly declared his preferred guardian should he find himself immersed in the terrifying world he helps bring to screen. With a blend of humor and conviction, Cregger expressed his absolute trust in Leon Kennedy's ability to navigate the horrors, stating, "If I was stuck in my movie and I could pick any Resident Evil character, I would bring Leon because I would just bear hug myself around him, close my eyes, and just let him protect me." This statement, originally shared on the PlayStation Blog, underscores Leon's status as a fan favorite and a symbol of reliable defense.

Beyond Leon: Exploring Other Valiant Candidates for Protection

While Leon Kennedy stands as Cregger's definitive choice, the director did acknowledge other formidable characters who could potentially offer a similar level of security. Jill Valentine, a seasoned veteran of Raccoon City's tragedies, was recognized as a strong alternative, known for her resilience and combat prowess. Billy Coen, a character with a more unconventional background, also received a nod, albeit with a playful caveat about his reclusiveness. This consideration of other characters demonstrates an appreciation for the diverse strengths within the Resident Evil roster, even as Leon holds a special place in Cregger's estimation.
