New Crafting Options in Arc Raiders: Nomadic Crafting Explained

Arc Raiders, the cooperative extraction shooter from Embark Studios, has introduced significant changes to its skill system, notably enhancing player capabilities with the addition of “Nomadic Crafting.” This new survival skill, found at the pinnacle of the survival skill tree, empowers players to fabricate a wider array of crucial items, previously unavailable through earlier crafting options.

Previously, the game offered “In-Round Crafting” and “Traveling Tinkerer” skills, which provided basic crafting utilities such as traps and hatch keys. However, Nomadic Crafting elevates the survival aspect by enabling the production of nearly all ammunition types, including shotgun, light, medium, and heavy ammo. Beyond ordnance, this skill is vital for mobility, allowing players to construct a grappling hook and a zipline, which are indispensable for navigating the game's challenging environments and evading threats.

The integration of Nomadic Crafting builds upon the existing framework, offering a more comprehensive toolkit for players. It ensures that critical resources, especially various forms of ammunition, are accessible through in-game progression rather than solely relying on scavenging. This not only deepens the strategic elements of the game but also provides players with greater autonomy in adapting to diverse combat scenarios. By combining advanced crafting with enhanced mobility, players are better equipped to face the relentless challenges of the Arc Raiders world.

This expanded crafting system encourages players to strategize more effectively, emphasizing resource management and preparedness. The ability to craft essential items on the fly, from combat necessities like ammunition to tactical movement tools such as grappling hooks and ziplines, means players can maintain sustained engagement and explore new areas with confidence. This improvement fosters a more dynamic and engaging gameplay experience, empowering players to overcome obstacles and emerge victorious through ingenuity and resourcefulness.
